From the desk of a [South] Jersey Girl

Not born and raised. Born: Daytona Beach, FL. Raised: Pitman, NJ aka suburbs of Philadelphia. I'm not the typical "Jersey girl", but I curse like a sailor (which came in handy while circumnavigating the globe by sea), am quick to anger and generally appreciate over-enthusiastic sports fans.

For right now, I'm a student (gah, who isn't these days?) at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where I'm majoring in Geology and Film Studies. That's all well and good to get a BS in something, but my recurring dream is to become a music supervisor (the people who get copyrighted music for movies & TV). I pretty much like all music, but I tend to favor alternative/pop/rock. I also dig rocks (HA! Geology pun!), the nuclear age, the space race, H.H. Holmes, and traveling.

I read this book about a year ago, and even though it’s a children’s book that came out long after I was a child, I think it has that special charm that classic children’s books have. Go out and read it - especially if you’re a kid at heart.
